Migration Specialist & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Migration Specialist & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise-scale infrastructure and platform migration programs across cloud and on-premises environments. The role will focus on Active Directory modernization, hybrid identity integration, and x86 platform migrations to enable secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise infrastructure.

Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for planning and executing infrastructure and platform migrations, including Active Directory transformation and cloud adoption initiatives. The role includes end-to-end migration lifecycle activities such as discovery, assessment, planning, migration execution, validation, and post-migration optimization across complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute platform migrations across x86 infrastructure, including VMware, Nutanix, Dell, and Azure Local environments.
• Lead Active Directory migration, consolidation, and modernization initiatives across enterprise environments.
• Design and implement hybrid cloud infrastructure and identity integration using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Perform infrastructure discovery, assessment, dependency mapping, and migration planning.
• Execute cloud migration strategies, including rehost, replatform, and modernization approaches.
• Manage and optimize Active Directory services, including Group Policy, DNS, replication, and domain controllers.
• Ensure infrastructure performance, scalability, security, and operational stability after migration.
• Troubleshoot complex migration, identity, and infrastructure issues across hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, application, and operations teams to deliver seamless transformation outcomes.
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology
• 5-8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, migration delivery, and cloud environments.
• Strong experience in platform migrations across VMware, Nutanix, and x86 infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on expertise in Active Directory, including multi-domain environments, Group Policy, DNS, replication, and domain controllers.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity integration.
• Proven experience in executing Active Directory migration and infrastructure transformation programs.
• Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and migration tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies, migration waves, cutover planning, and best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage large-scale migration projects in fast-paced enterprise environments.
  
  

Good To Have Skills

• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation for infrastructure operations.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, formerly SCCM.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
• Familiarity with endpoint security, compliance, and governance frameworks.
• Exposure to automation, monitoring tools, ITSM processes, and DevOps practices.
• Working Expectations
• Collaborate effectively with architecture, engineering, security, application, and operations teams.
• Maintain clear documentation for design, deployment steps, SOPs, runbooks, and automation scripts.
• Demonstrate ownership in resolving issues, improving reliability, and enhancing automation across cloud platforms.
