As our Supplier Operations Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of goods and services by driving the day‑to‑day execution of purchasing and supplier operations.

You’ll help ensure materials are ordered accurately, delivered on time, and aligned with demand forecasts—minimizing supply disruptions and inventory risks. Your work will strengthen supplier relationships, resolve operational issues efficiently, and support business continuity by maintaining high standards of quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.

You’ll collaborate with operations, planning, finance, and internal stakeholders and take ownership of order execution, supplier coordination, expediting, inventory and demand management, issue resolution, and spot-buy negotiations. Through your structured, proactive approach, you’ll help move us toward a more efficient, reliable, and customer‑focused supply chain.

What You’ll Be Doing
Order Execution: Reviewing internal purchase requests (PRs) and converting them into accurate Purchase Orders (POs) within the companys ERP system (e.g., SAP)

Supplier Liaison: Acting as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding daily operational issues, including order confirmations, delivery schedules, and price clarifications.

Expediting & Tracking: Proactively monitoring open orders and following up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, especially during shortages or production changes

Inventory & Demand Management: Collaborating with operations and planning teams to monitor stock levels, adjust order quantities based on forecasts, and prevent both stockouts and excess inventory.

Dispute & Issue Resolution: Handling discrepancies related to damaged goods, incorrect shipments, or invoice errors in coordination with the accounts payable department.

Tactical Negotiation: Negotiating prices and terms for "spot buys" or specific orders that are not covered under long-term master contracts.

Monitor supplier performance to quality, delivery, cost, innovation and working capital objectives

Expert applied knowledge of forecasting, MRP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management and warehousing disciplines.

Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer ,service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply options.

Ensure and promote compliance to Company and Danfoss Procurement Policy and procedures.

What Were Looking For

  • 5-8 years of experience in a Procurement buyer role
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (specifically SAP MM modules is highly valued) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills are essential for managing multiple stakeholders and vendors simultaneously
  • Highly structured and systematic, works proactively and result oriented as well as willing and able to take initiative.
  • Consistently Delivers Great Performance
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Able to influence others & manage conflict.
  • Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail
