HIRING | SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT – GENERAL LEDGER (GL/R2R)

ROLE: SME – GENERAL LEDGER / R2R

We are looking for an experienced Subject Matter Expert – General Ledger with strong Finance & Accounting expertise to manage, review and oversee accounting operations for US-based clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review General Ledger and month-end closing activities
  
• Handle bank & balance sheet reconciliations, payroll accounting, income journals and sales tax activities
  
• Review monthly financial reports and deliverables
  
• Monitor and manage accounting activities performed by preparers
  
• Track errors and prepare RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reports
  
• Identify and resolve unreconciled and aged items with internal teams and clients
  
• Regularly interact with clients through emails and calls
  
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial submissions
  
• Monitor work allocation, productivity and monthly KPI metrics
  
• Escalate pending issues to management when required
  
• Ensure compliance with information security and control procedures
  

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 5–8 years of experience in Finance & Accounting
  
• Strong knowledge of GL / R2R processes
  
• Strong accounting principles and reconciliation experience
  
• Experience in reviewing/managing accounting activities
  
• Client interaction & stakeholder management skills
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  
• Strong MS Excel skills
  
• Knowledge of Oracle / M3 / Yardi is preferred
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication
