Key Job Description

Expected to lead and oversee large-scale Data Warehouse and Data Engineering initiatives for UHG.

Should manage end-to-end program delivery, ensuring seamless coordination between onshore and offshore teams

Understands Program scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables for Data Warehouse and Data Engineering initiatives.

Act as the primary liaison with UHG stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business goals.

Manage distributed teams across geographies, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely delivery.

Supervise design, development, and implementation of Data Warehouse and Data Engineering solutions, including ETL, data modeling, integration and Reporting.

Ensure adherence to organizational standards, data security policies, and regulatory requirements.

Identify potential risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues proactively to avoid delivery delays.

Allocate resources effectively, manage team capacity, and ensure optimal utilization across projects.

Monitor program budgets, track costs, and ensure financial compliance with client and organizational guidelines.

Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and program-level metrics to stakeholders and leadership with WSR, QBR etc.

Drive process improvements, adopt best practices, and leverage automation for efficiency in data engineering workflows.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or similar).

Expertise in Data Warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema, dimensional modeling, data marts).

Exposure to legacy systems (Mainframe, traditional RDBMS like Oracle/SQL Server) and ability to integrate with modern platforms.

Knowledge of Cloud Data Platforms and migration strategies and modern data engineering frameworks.

Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning for large-scale data processing.

Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Ability to evaluate and adopt new technologies for data engineering and analytics.
