As part of the Global NPI team within the R&D function, you will be responsible for managing and supporting various blade manufacturing processes and ensuring successful industrialization of new blade projects. Your key responsibilities include:
Acting as a process owner for defined blade manufacturing processes within the global NPI (New Product Introduction) team.
Supporting process development for new blade projects, including prototyping, zero-series, and international production rollouts.
Preparing and reviewing specifications, process documentation, Bills of Materials (BOM), VSM, and manpower allocation.
Developing decision matrices for new product and process designs, preparing test documentation, conducting physical trials, and preparing test reports.
Coordinating with internal stakeholders (Blade Engineering, Quality, Tooling, R&D, NPI) for all development project requirements, changes, and process supervision.
Collaborating with external stakeholders during development and rollout projects to ensure proper alignment on all changes and to supervise production/process activities.
Willingness to travel extensively (up to 6 months per year, including 3–6 weeks continuously at a stretch) as required for project execution and plant rollouts.
Your Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Process, Production, Composites, or Aeronautics (mandatory).
Technical & Complementary Skills
Proficiency in MS Office, Teamcenter, and AutoCAD 2D.
Knowledge of CATIA or Siemens NX (optional but preferred).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Strong pedagogical skills, team management, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in boat building or composite structure manufacturing (e.g., blades, civil structures), including hand layup, VART, RIM, and working with epoxy or polyester.
Minimum 8 years of engineering experience within the composite industry (marine, civil, blades). Note: Aeronautic composites experience will not be considered.
Out of the 8 years, at least 4 years must include responsibilities in two of the following three areas:
Participation in new product development.
International rollout of new products.
Acting as a process engineer in a production facility with a focus on HSE, quality, cost, and cycle time (CT).
Languages: English – C2 (mandatory); Spanish – B2 (optional); German – B2 (optional)
