About The Role

This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. The position should have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical personnel and team members to finalize software requirements and understand product requirements.
• Develop and review detailed specifications and translate moderately complex requirements into effective software designs.
• Implement software development processes, coding best practices, and participate in code reviews.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues and complete bug fixes across various development environments.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders in Agile, Waterfall, and other development methodologies.
• Work with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Microservices, Hibernate, JPA, Cosmos DB, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Configure and support services using Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments such as Azure, with a focus on performance optimization.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to technology migrations and related initiatives, including Java upgrades, Kafka/EventHub, Databricks, and Python as applicable.
  
  

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong Java experience; Java 8 required, with Java 11/21 experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Microservices, Hibernate, JPA, and Cosmos DB.
• Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitHub Actions preferred), and Azure cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Kafka/EventHub and strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Java migration experience (8 → 11/21), Databricks, and Python are good to have.
