Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction supervision and inspection of large infrastructure projects.
Experience in desalination plants, water treatment plants (WTP), wastewater treatment plants (STP/ETP), industrial facilities, marine structures, or similar water infrastructure projects.
Experience in inspection of reinforced concrete structures, foundations, tanks, pump houses, intake and outfall structures, buildings, underground utilities, and pipelines.
Familiarity with Indian Standards (IS Codes), CPWD specifications, project quality procedures, and construction safety requirements.
Experience in Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Construction Supervision Consultancy (CSC), or EPC projects will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out day-to-day inspection of civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
Monitor construction of desalination plant structures including process buildings, intake and outfall structures, pump houses, reservoirs, tanks, utility buildings, roads, and drainage systems.
Verify construction materials, workmanship, dimensions, alignment, levels, and structural elements before execution and during construction.
Witness field and laboratory tests for concrete, steel, soil, aggregates, and other construction materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Review Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and quality documentation submitted by contractors.
Identify non-conforming works and report deviations to the Resident Engineer/Construction Manager for corrective action.
Maintain daily site inspection records, site diaries, photographic records, and progress reports.
Coordinate with QA/QC engineers, contractors, survey teams, and design engineers to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
Monitor implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements at the construction site.
Assist during testing, commissioning, snagging, punch listing, and project handover activities.
Ensure all civil works are executed in accordance with contractual requirements and applicable engineering standards. These responsibilities align with common construction supervision practices for desalination and water infrastructure projects.
