As a member of the Tools team within the Network Services Department, you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative self-service and automation tools that enhance the productivity and quality of network infrastructure tasks. Our Network Tools portfolio comprises custom-built software solutions that empower network teams with automation capabilities, intuitive dashboards, and self-service features, ultimately driving efficiency and excellence in enterprise network infrastructure operations.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to balance technical development expertise with leadership responsibilities, working with modern technologies like GoLang, Python, React, and OpenShift Container Platform. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions while leading DevOps practices and driving technical decision-making for our automation tools ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain network automation tools, self-service solutions, and operational dashboards using GoLang, Python, React, and modern frontend technologies
  • Lead technical initiatives and coordinate projects from conception through deployment, including requirements analysis, architecture design, agile facilitation, and technical decision-making
  • Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications on cloud-native platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes), implementing DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and infrastructure automation
  • Develop and manage RESTful APIs for system integrations, network device interactions, and microservices communication
  • Migrate legacy applications (Perl-based) to modern technology stacks while ensuring business continuity and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with Network Operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide innovative problem-solving
  • Lead DevOps practices, conduct code reviews, enforce quality and security standards, and mentor team members on best practices and emerging technologies
  • Work in Linux/Unix environments to develop, support, and maintain applications throughout their lifecycle


Qualifications

MUST HAVE - SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

While we prefer candidates with all listed skills, we highly value a learning mindset and will consider strong candidates who demonstrate the ability to quickly acquire missing technical skills with a can-do, find-a-way approach. Candidates without specific technology experience should demonstrate strong commitment to learning and scaling up quickly, especially if they possess core mandatory skills like GoLang, SQL, and cloud-native development environment.

  • Minimum 7-10 years of software development experience with strong proficiency in GoLang (mandatory) and SQL (mandatory)
  • Frontend development experience - React proficiency highly desirable; candidates with reasonable frontend experience (JavaScript, Angular, Vue etc.) and commitment to quickly learn React will be considered.
  • Experience deploying and managing applications on containerized platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes; understanding of containerized/cloud-native platform architectures is highly desirable
  • Experience developing and managing RESTful APIs for system integrations and microservices
  • Proficiency in Python and scripting for automation solutions (network automation experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, version control (Git), and Linux/Unix environments
  • Basic Perl knowledge for legacy application migration (or willingness to learn)
  • Currently an active hands-on software developer with excellent troubleshooting and analytical capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, coordinate projects, and drive technical decision-making
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills, fluent in English, and proven ability to rapidly acquire new technical skills through experimentation and innovative problem-solving.


Nice To Have- Skills & Experience

  • Advanced DevOps experience with Tekton CI/CD pipelines, ArgoCD GitOps workflows, Git (GitHub/GitLab), and Jira project management.
  • Experience with security and code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube), and AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
  • Cloud-native development experience in GCP (CaaS environments) or Azure (Microsoft services integration).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Cisco equipment), Observability, AIOps concepts and tools.
  • Prior experience in network infrastructure operations or CCNA certification.
