We are looking for an experienced Senior SQL Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise database solutions, ETL processes, and data integration workflows.

The candidate should have strong experience in database development, performance tuning, query optimization, data migration, and production support. The role involves collaborating with application teams, business stakeholders, QA teams, and data engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing database solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities

SQL Server Development

Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database objects including tables, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and indexes.

Develop efficient and scalable T-SQL solutions to support business applications and reporting requirements.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into optimized database solutions.

Develop reusable database components following SQL development best practices.

Database Performance Optimization

Optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to improve application performance.

Analyze execution plans and perform query tuning activities.

Implement indexing strategies and database optimization techniques.

Monitor database performance and proactively identify performance bottlenecks.

ETL Development & Data Integration

Design, develop, and maintain SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

Build ETL workflows integrating data from multiple sources including databases, flat files, and external systems.

Implement data validation, cleansing, transformation, error handling, and logging mechanisms.

Monitor ETL jobs and troubleshoot failures to ensure timely data delivery.

Data Migration & Quality Management

Perform data migration activities across multiple systems and environments.

Validate and reconcile migrated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Develop data quality checks and implement solutions to maintain data integrity.

Create and maintain technical documentation including data dictionaries and database specifications.

Production Support & Database Administration

Provide production support for database-related issues and ensure minimal business disruption.

Troubleshoot and resolve database errors, performance issues, and data-related incidents.

Manage SQL Server Agent jobs, scheduling, and automation activities.

Support database backup, recovery, and maintenance activities.

Collaboration & Delivery

Collaborate with application developers, QA teams, business analysts, and data engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Participate in requirement discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.

Follow Agile methodologies and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and project ceremonies.

Maintain development standards and promote database best practices.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Technical Skills

7+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server development.

Strong expertise in T-SQL programming including:

Complex stored procedures

Functions

Triggers

CTEs

Window functions

Dynamic SQL

Strong experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development.

Experience in SQL Server performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and execution plan analysis.

Hands-on experience with:

Data migration

Data transformation

Data cleansing

Data validation

Strong understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, and data modeling.

Experience with SQL Server Agent jobs, scheduling, and automation.

Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.

Experience with database development tools and version control systems such as Git, Azure DevOps, or TFS.

Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Exposure to Power BI reporting and analytics solutions.

Experience working with Azure SQL Database or Azure Data Services.

Knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) and cloud-based data integration.

Experience with SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated database deployment processes.
