The Opportunity

The Electromechanical design engineer has a responsibility to understand technical requirements for Primary engineering of HVDC converter station, Installation drawings and detail design of yard materials there by ensuring safety of the end equipment and HVDC station as a whole.

How Youll Make An Impact

  • You will ensure that engineering is developed with complete information and that all multidisciplinary information has been included.
  • You will be leading the development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges, drive the completion of all engineering activities on the project, coordinate engineering discipline across several projects.
  • You will be providing technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.
  • You will be preparing complete project documents in area of responsibility. You will act as a design authority for Electromechanical engineering discipline and completes engineering assignments with the knowledge of the design principles, internal guidelines and applicable standards used within the technical field of the department.
  • You will be providing cost effective quality solutions and delivering within budget and contract. Ensuring adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks, create work plans and cost estimates, scope, budget and schedule for assignments.
  • You will Interact directly with customers, officials, contractors and supply chain.
  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of work experience in Design of Primary Layout of Electrical UHV/EHV substation project.
  • HVDC experience is preferred.
  • Experience of working with advance 3D CAD tools, good knowledge of process structuring & process management.
  • You must have Knowledge & Skills in NX / Teamcenter or Similar 3D tools, Substation Engineering of UHV/EHV substation project, PLM Tools.
  • Knowledge & Experience in MS Office: Word, Excel.
  • Self-starter calibre who could own tasks through to completion, strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
