Senior Network Manager

Summary

Manages a global department of resources focused on the design, delivery, support and optimization of Celesticas IT Global Network infrastructure.   The Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure leverages their network of business and IT partners to plan and deliver strategic projects, enhancement work and baseline requests according to established service levels, budgets, and compliance standards. The Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure helps to determine and drive the IT operations framework and solution lifecycle, and has extensive hands-on experience with infrastructure technologies.  The Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure also creates and champions Celesticas service management culture rooted in continuous improvement, and is responsible for building organizational strength by leading change & leveraging Celesticas HR processes.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Promote business continuity as the primary focus of all plans, operations, and decisions.
• Strengthen the organization through strong leadership, people management, purposeful communication, and cultural enablement.
• Cultivate strong relationships and engage with senior business, functional, solution & service partners to enable effective cross-team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and problem solving.
• Lead and motivate a high-performing team to design, build, and run IT solutions in accordance with established service levels.
• Engage and partner with business partners to create, communicate and deliver IT roadmaps that enable strategic business objectives.
• Drive IT operations to leverage standard IT processes to deliver solutions and services.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Extensive experience in the design of local area,  wide area networks and Cloud integration. Complexity of projects ranges from simple projects with minimal risks/ uncertainty to medium level projects with some high impact risks and multiple project variables with uncertainty.
  Excellent understanding of IP, MPLS, WAN, SDWAN, Wireless networking technologies.
  Experience with data centre design, security principles, computing infrastructure.
  Engaged by the unknowns of implementing emergent technologies and industry standards.
  Must be flexible with working hours, as there is a periodic requirement to work long hours in the field to commission installations.
  Experience with Cisco switches & routers, Checkpoint NGFW, SDWAN technologies.
  Must have experience working in an enterprise Datacenter environment.
  Cloud migration & deployment experience.
  Cisco certified with CCDP or CCIE certification is preferred.
  Strong experience building and maintaining VPN networks to support Remote user connectivity including integration into Multi-factor authentication solutions.
  Must have the ability to communicate confidently and directly with executive stakeholders as well as end-client technical teams.

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience

• 11 to 14 years of IT experience that shows consistent progression, and at least 5 years hands-on technology and team leadership experience.

Typical Education

• Bachelors Degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
