Senior Lead Business Analyst - Data

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong data analysis capabilities to work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers and analytics teams. The role focuses on translating business requirements into data-driven insights, leveraging SQL and Snowflake to analyse, validate and support enterprise data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define use cases and translate needs into clear functional and data specifications
• Analyse large datasets using SQL within Snowflake to identify trends, anomalies and insights
• Support data product development by validating data models, transformations and reporting outputs
• Create and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications and data mappings
• Perform data validation, reconciliation and UAT support to ensure accuracy and integrity of delivered solutions
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure business logic is correctly implemented in Snowflake
• Enable reporting, dashboards and analytics use cases by ensuring data consistency and traceability
• Contribute to process improvements, data quality initiatives and documentation standards

Requirements

• 6-15 years of experience as a Business Analyst in data-centric or analytics-driven environments
• Proficiency in advanced SQL for querying, analysing and validating complex datasets
• Hands-on expertise in Snowflake or other modern cloud data warehouses
• Understanding of data concepts including data models, ETL/ELT processes and metrics definition
• Background in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
• Skills in stakeholder management and communication
• Capability to translate technical findings into clear business insights

Nice to have

• Familiarity with BI and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Experience in financial services, banking or large enterprise data programmes
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality or regulatory reporting concepts
• Basic understanding of Python or similar scripting languages
