About the Role: Element34 seeks a dynamic Full Stack Engineer to join our team, playing a pivotal role in developing and maintaining scalable backend systems while contributing to frontend development as needed. This role is ideal for individuals with strong backend expertise who thrive in building robust, high-performance applications and enjoy collaborating across frontend teams to deliver seamless web experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance, scalable, and secure backend systems using Java.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support application functionalities.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers to ensure smooth integration with React/Angular-based frontend systems.
• Utilize both relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases for data schema design, query optimization, and data integrity maintenance.
• Deploy, monitor, and scale applications using cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Implement and manage containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (K8S).
• Write unit tests for backend and frontend code to uphold code quality and reliability.
• Conduct code reviews to uphold quality standards and mentor junior developers.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, advocating best practices in backend development, testing, and deployment.
  
  

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• 5+ years of backend development experience, proficient in Java.
• Solid understanding of frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Docker, and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Proficiency in SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), including database design, optimization, and query writing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Kubernetes (K8S).
• Experience in writing unit tests and familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) principles.
• Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
