Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Support the team lead in delivering interior trims to cost, weight, performance and timeline targets.
• Provide technical inputs for benchmarking, future roadmap and proof-of-concept readiness.
• Coordinate regulatory, functional and durability DVP requirements.
• Drive first-time-right delivery and propose mitigation plans.
• Track upcoming regulations and incorporate changes for future programs.
• Support achievement of Feature Integration targets.
• Collaborate with CFTs like CAE, BSR, NVH, STA, DE, VD, PQ, NovaC, Validation, PVT, suppliers and project teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused product design.
• Interior trim packaging and integration expertise.
• Knowledge of IS/AIS, ECE, ADR and FMVSS applicability.
• Understanding of product development and lifecycle management.
• Awareness of regulatory, functional and durability validation requirements.

Core Skills

• Hard Trims: Door Trims, Console, Pillars and Garnishes.
• Soft Trims: Headliner, Sun Visors, Parcel Shelf and Wrapped Components.
• NVH Components.
• Decorative and Premium Finish Systems.
• Trim and Closure Interfaces.

• CATIA: Mandatory.
• TCE / 3DX: Added advantage.

Behavioural Fit

• Strong problem-solving capability.
• Passion for user experience and idea generation.
• Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams.
• Awareness of global interior trimming technologies and emerging trends.

Experience

• 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in automotive interior trim design and development.
• Strong expertise in trim packaging and component integration.
• Ability to ensure fit, function, manufacturability and serviceability.
• In-depth knowledge of hard trims, soft trims, NVH components and vehicle integration.
