Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced I&C engineer who is highly motivated to join our team. The candidate must have experience in executing projects for the Oil & Gas/FMCG/Advanced tech industries with the highest level of quality, cost effectiveness, and a focus on safety. The successful candidate will work with licensed engineers and other experienced designers to develop Instrument & Control drawings and deliverables.

The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with other engineering disciplines, sometimes across multiple offices.

Education:

Bachelor of Engineering - Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Instrumentation and Controls / Equivalent Engineering degree

Responsibilities:

  • Instrumentation and control system engineering design for industrial, manufacturing, and utilities projects.
  • Preparation of Datasheets, selection & sizing of instruments & valves, vendor document reviews, checking & approval of design deliverables
  • Review of Hook-up & Installation drawings.
  • Preparation of Cause-and-effect matrix
  • Preparation of Wiring & loop sheets, instrument index, Instrument lists, I/O lists, JB & Panel location layouts.
  • Preparation and review of Cable Schedule, Cable Tray sizing & loading schedule.
  • Review of Cable routing, Cable Tray & Conduit layout, Grounding layout & support drawings.
  • Preparation of BOM & Bulk MTOs.
  • Basic understanding of control systems, review of P&ID, Knowledge on hazardous areas
  • Responsible for instrumentation design on multi-discipline engineering projects.


Requirements:

  • 8+ Years of Experience in Engineering in I & C Design and Detail Engineering.
  • Good Experience with Navisworks is preferable.
  • Experience in AutoCAD with detailed understanding of Drafting and Design standards is preferable.
  • Basic understanding of Instrumentation design concepts & Deliverables.
  • Experience in SPI /InTools desirable.
  • Conversant with International codes and Standards
  • Proven ability to meet client deadlines.
  • Background from EPC / Engineering consultancy.
  • Assist with design/alteration of electrical equipment.
  • Assist with testing and debugging equipment to isolate defects.
  • Prepare layouts using CAD tools.
  • Assist in evaluation of designs; make engineering changes.
  • Prepare basic schematics, assemblies, detailed drawings, and bills of material (BOM)
  • Assist in the evaluation of new parts.
  • May assist in supporting manufacturing/assembly teams.
  • Manage and maintain product/project files.
  • Other duties as assigned.
