Position Summary

DGM Quality Assurance is responsible for leading the organization's quality management system, driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring product and process compliance, and developing robust supplier and manufacturing quality programs. The role oversees quality assurance activities across the entire product lifecycle, ensuring customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and supplier quality performance.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute the quality assurance strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Establish quality policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Drive a culture of quality, operational excellence, and customer-centricity across the organization.
  • Serve as the quality authority for internal and external stakeholders.

Supplier Quality Management

  • Develop and manage supplier quality assurance programs.
  • Monitor supplier quality performance through KPIs, scorecards, audits, and improvement initiatives.
  • Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and requalification processes.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with suppliers using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, RCA, and FMEA.
  • Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Product & Process Quality

  • Ensure product quality throughout design, manufacturing, and delivery stages.
  • Lead quality planning activities including process validation, risk assessments, PFMEA, and control plans.
  • Establish incoming, in-process, and final inspection strategies.
  • Drive defect reduction, scrap reduction, and process capability improvement initiatives.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and product qualification activities.

Compliance & Audit Management

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or other applicable quality standards.
  • Lead internal, customer, certification, and supplier audits.
  • Manage CAPA closure and audit findings resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Customer Quality Management

  • Lead resolution of customer complaints and critical quality issues.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer quality metrics and implement improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with customers to address quality concerns and maintain strong relationships.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Utilize quality tools and statistical methods to improve performance.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives within quality processes.
  • Develop and report quality dashboards, analytics, and business insights.

Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing quality teams.
  • Establish talent development and succession planning programs.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration among manufacturing, engineering, procurement, supply chain, and customer service teams.
  • Set performance objectives and manage team effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Master's Degree (preferred).

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt
  • ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CMQ/OE)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001/IATF/AS9100)

Experience

  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, or Operational Excellence.
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership or people-management role.
  • Experience managing supplier quality programs and customer quality initiatives.
  • Strong experience in manufacturing, industrial, electrical, automotive, electronics, or related industries.
