SAP SD Consultant

Position Overview

Experienced SAP SD Consultant with 5+ years of expertise in configuring and implementing Sales and Distribution (SD) and Logistics Execution (LE) processes.

In-depth knowledge of both SD and LE integration, and hands-on experience optimizing and automating the Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycle, including processes related to sales order management, shipping, deliveries, and billing.

The consultant will work closely with internal teams and clients to deliver comprehensive SAP solutions that improve the sales and distribution lifecycle, streamline logistics processes, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP SD & LE Configuration & Implementation:
• Configure SAP SD and LE processes to support efficient sales and distribution operations. Key areas include Sales Order Processing, Pricing, Shipping, Billing, and Delivery Management.
• Implement and maintain Logistics Execution (LE) processes including delivery creation, shipment processing, transportation management, and loading.
• Configure sales document types, item categories, pricing procedures, delivery types, and shipping points in both SAP SD and LE modules.
• Ensure seamless integration between SD, LE, and other modules such as MM (Material Management) and FICO (Financial Accounting) for end-to-end business process efficiency.
• Order-to-Cash (O2C) Optimization:
• Optimize and automate the Order-to-Cash (O2C) process, ensuring smooth interaction between Sales Order, Shipping, and Billing processes.
• Configure and maintain sales order types, pricing conditions, and shipping types to facilitate seamless delivery and invoicing.
• Oversee the setup and management of transportation planning, shipping scheduling, and picking/packing processes in SAP LE.
• Integration of SAP SD & LE with Other Modules:
• Implement and configure integrations between SAP SD and MM, WM (Warehouse Management), FICO, and PS (Project Systems) to ensure smooth data flow and process integration.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate SAP TM (Transportation Management) with SD and LE, enhancing delivery planning, execution, and freight management.
• Support integration with third-party logistics systems for transportation and shipment tracking.
• Logistics Execution & Supply Chain Process Optimization:
• Analyze logistics processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs within the Logistics Execution cycle.
• Enhance delivery scheduling, route planning, and carrier selection to streamline operations.
• Support warehouse management (WM) and inventory management (IM) functions to ensure accurate inventory handling during order fulfillment and shipping.
• System Integration, Testing, and Troubleshooting:
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for SD and LE configurations.
• Troubleshoot functional and system issues related to SD order processing, LE delivery management, and transportation execution.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues related to data interfaces, system errors, and performance bottlenecks.
• Documentation & Training:
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, user manuals, and training materials related to SAP SD and LE processes.
• Conduct end-user training sessions and provide ongoing support for SAP SD and LE processes.
• Post-Go-Live Support & Continuous Improvement:
• Provide post-implementation support for SAP SD and LE users, helping resolve issues related to order processing, shipping, and delivery.
• Continuously monitor system performance and suggest improvements for optimizing the Order-to-Cash cycle, shipping, and logistics operations.
• Project Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work closely with project managers, business users, and technical teams to ensure the timely delivery of SAP SD and LE solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, propose solutions, and design processes that meet business needs.
  
  

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP SD and Logistics Execution (LE), with a proven track record of successfully configuring and implementing solutions in both modules.
• Strong understanding of Sales and Distribution processes, including Sales Order Management, Pricing, Billing, and Shipping.
• Expertise in Logistics Execution (LE) processes, including delivery creation, shipment processing, transportation management, and warehouse integration.
• In-depth knowledge of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes and integration of SD with MM, WM, FICO, and TM.
• Experience in SAP WM (Warehouse Management) and SAP TM (Transportation Management) is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is desirable, especially in the context of Logistics Execution and Sales and Distribution..
