The SSP Analyst role requires a highly skilled individual who can operate both independently and collaboratively while providing guidance and mentoring to team members. Work is non-routine and highly complex, requiring the application of advanced technical and business expertise in areas of specialization. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively partner with cross-functional organizations.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of global and regional finance practices and be capable of preparing and delivering presentations, providing regular status updates, making recommendations, and escalating issues to management when appropriate.

This role has global responsibilities and will collaborate with multiple organizations supporting the Standalone Selling Price (SSP) study analysis process. Responsibilities include preparing SSP studies, supporting system enhancement requests, providing production support, and participating in large-scale initiatives supporting Oracle Finance business units and Oracle IT internal software implementations. The role requires strong project management skills, the ability to meet critical milestones and deliverables, and the ability to drive SSP studies to completion within targeted deadlines.

This position will serve as a key contributor in generating SSP data and executing quarterly SSP analysis processes based on the published SSP study plan. The role requires proactive identification of process issues, continuous process improvement, and maintenance of procedure documentation. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with management and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:

SSP Study Management & Analysis

  • Utilize the SSP Study Tracker in GRID to monitor and ensure timely completion of SSP study activities.
  • Prepare SSP study data and execute quarterly SSP analysis processes based on the published and approved SSP study plan.
  • Ensure SSP studies are completed within established quarterly timelines and deadlines.
  • Generate, validate, and analyze SSP data to support Revenue Recognition compliance requirements.
  • Prepare quarterly compliance comparisons and investigate significant variances or changes from prior study periods.
  • Research and validate transactional data, SSP percentages, and related study results as needed.
  • Recalculate and verify SSP compliance calculations and banding accuracy.


Audit, Controls & Compliance

  • Obtain, maintain, and provide audit evidence supporting SSP baseline scripts, methodologies, and reporting processes.
  • Document and report material changes to baseline scripts, reporting methodologies, system migrations, inclusions/exclusions, or related study assumptions.
  • Review and validate report parameters utilized in source systems and maintain supporting evidence and approvals where applicable.
  • Perform completeness and accuracy testing in accordance with established controls and audit requirements.
  • Execute clerical and transactional testing procedures to validate SSP study data integrity and compliance.
  • Prepare accounting SSP memos documenting methodology changes, study results, compliance conclusions, and explanations for significant variances.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing accurate and complete supporting documentation.
  • Conduct SSP study walkthroughs and provide process support for External Auditors (E&Y) and Internal Audit/SOX reviews.


Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Support

  • Collaborate with Global Revenue Recognition, Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams supporting SSP study operations and system implementations.
  • Identify and raise enhancement requests for missing items, SKUs, product groups, SSP band mappings, and related GRID system requirements.
  • Support production issues, system enhancement requests, and process improvement initiatives related to SSP studies and Oracle’s APEX Revenue Management modules.
  • Participate in large-scale projects and cross-functional initiatives supporting Oracle Finance business operations and internal software implementations.
  • Assist Subject Matter Experts with requirements gathering, automation initiatives, and SSP process enhancements within GRID.


Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Proactively identify process gaps, operational risks, and improvement opportunities within SSP processes and controls.
  • Maintain and update SSP process documentation, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Recommend process simplification and automation opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Drive deliverables to completion while managing competing priorities and meeting critical project milestones and deadlines.
  • Provide regular status updates, recommendations, and issue escalations to management as appropriate.


Leadership & Communication

  • Operate effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring to team members as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and communications to management and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner effectively with global and regional teams while demonstrating strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
