Quality Assurance Engineering, Advisor II

Seasoned Senior Quality Engineering / Assurance Manager with 20+ years of experience in driving enterprise‑scale Quality Engineering programs, leading high‑performing QE teams, and implementing modern Agile, DevOps, and Automation‑centric quality practices. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to deliver high‑quality software products across complex ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and mentor a global Quality Engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
• Define and execute QE strategy aligned with organizational goals, product roadmaps, and technology vision.
• Drive quality governance frameworks across multiple product lines and enterprise programs.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
  
  

Quality Engineering & Automation

• Develop and scale automation frameworks across UI, API, mobile, performance, and security testing.
• Champion an “automation‑first” mindset to enable faster, reliable, and continuous releases.
• Establish test strategies, automation roadmaps, and tooling standards for distributed engineering teams.
• Architect end‑to‑end CI/CD‑integrated automation pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams.
  
  

Agile & DevOps Practices

• Drive Agile quality practices such as TDD, BDD, shift‑left quality, and continuous testing.
• Work closely with Scrum teams to ensure quality KPIs, Definition of Done, and test coverage goals are met.
• Enable test data, environment optimization, and infrastructure readiness for fast Agile delivery.
  
  

Quality Assurance & Risk Management

• Oversee functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.
• Define robust QA processes, metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
• Identify quality risks early and provide mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and audit frameworks.
  
  

Cross‑Functional Delivery

• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to influence design, architecture, and release decisions.
• Manage relationships with vendors, technology partners, and external testing teams.
• Provide executive‑level communication, quality insights, and release readiness assessments.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Assurance, with at least 8–10 years in leadership or management roles.
• Proven experience leading large QE teams in Agile/Scaled Agile environments.
• Strong expertise in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, RestAssured, JMeter, Postman).
• Deep understanding of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and modern architectures.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision‑making skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: ISTQB, CSM, SAFe, PMP, or Automation tool certifications.
• Experience with AI‑driven testing or predictive quality insights.
• Background in performance engineering and security testing.
• Experience working in large‑scale enterprise environments or product companies.
