Job Description

Job Summary 

This crucial role is a dual Project Manager & Scrum Master role, responsible for all activities related to agile project management and strategic program alignment. The role involves orchestrating collaboration among a diverse array of internal and external resources, ensuring the successful delivery of projects in terms of scope, quality and timeline, facilitating Scrum and SAFe even, coaching and supporting teams to operate at the highest level. Our projects cater for the needs of the largest broadcast and media clients globally, this role will serve multi-disciplinary technical projects that possess above-average complexity and extensive scope. 

Within this role, you will be both responsible and accountable for Co-ordinating Quarterly, Sprint planning, development and execution of software delivery projects. This entails adeptly managing multiple concurrent projects, often with conflicting priorities. To achieve this, you will collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Solution Engineers, Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, and Operations teams to drive successful project outcomes. Moreover, you will foster collaboration across the broader Comcast Technology Solutions business, and our extensive network of partners. 

Core Responsibilities 

• Overseeing the complete project lifecycle to deliver Comcast solutions to customers. 

• Accountable for providing regular project updates to key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure alignment.  

• Developing and maintaining intricate project plans that monitor project delivery, maintain RAID logs including interdependent tasks and projects. 

• Managing cross-functional dependencies, identifying dependency-related risks early, and driving alignment across teams to ensure timely delivery. 

• Steering all internal and external project sessions, meetings, and conference calls to achieve desired outcomes. 

• Producing RAG-rated status reports and maintaining a decision/change log, ensuring governance forums drive decisions rather than status-only updates. 

• Providing concise, decision-oriented updates tailored to business, technical, and leadership stakeholders. 

• Managing scope changes through a defined change control process to protect delivery commitments. 

• Escalating risks and blockers with clear impact framing , not just flagging problems  but helping to resolve them before they hit the critical path. 

• Facilitating discussions and driving consensus among stakeholders to enable timely decision-making and remove delivery impediments. 

• Tracking delivery metrics (e.g., schedule variance, milestone adherence, escalation trends) and running lessons-learned sessions to drive continuous improvement across the delivery community. 

• Maintaining visibility into team capacity and resource utilization to support effective planning and predictable delivery outcomes. 

• Conduct Scrum ceremonies, guaranteeing alignment and effective management of expectations. 

• Partnering with other departments (Product Management, Engineering , Professional services &  Operations) for Project delivery and expansion initiatives. 

• Continuously enhancing expertise in Comcast’s products and the streaming media industry. 

Skills & Experience 

• 3+ years of experience in Project Management 

• 5+ years of experience in Scrum Master  

• Agile certified with a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of Agile delivery methodologies. 

• Talented professional, adept at managing conflicting priorities. 

• Experience managing cross-functional dependencies and coordinating delivery across multiple teams with competing priorities. 

• Experience designing Project models proportionate to project size and risk (steering committees, status cadence, escalation paths). 

• Steering delivery metrics/dashboards to tell the story behind the data, not just report it. 

• Ability to use delivery metrics and trends to proactively identify risks, predict potential delivery challenges, and recommend corrective actions. 

• Experience building and maintaining RAID logs, decision logs, and change control documentation as living tools (not one-off artifacts). 

• Experience facilitating stakeholder discussions, driving alignment, and achieving consensus across business and technical teams. 

• Extensive expertise in delivering complex software projects for external clients. 

• Practical experience of working within the Scrum Framework. 

• Demonstrated experience coaching and guiding Agile teams toward improved predictability, accountability, and delivery excellence. 

• A solid understanding of modern software development principles, practices, and terminology. 

• Excellent analytical skills to recognize and foresee problems, issues, or situations even without clear precedent. 

• Able to innovate and improve processes, evaluate alternatives, and find strategic solutions to problems using a logical and methodical approach. 

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present both business-oriented solutions and technical concepts in a coherent and engaging manner. 

• Familiar with using software delivery project management tools such as Jira, Confluence. 

• Consultative, good listener, and able to facilitate discussions to understand client requirements. 

• Pro-actively engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, align expectations, resolve conflicts, and accomplish project objectives & Delivery 

• Self-starter, an avid learner, and curious about technology. 

• Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude 

Preferable 

• BE degree in Computer Science (or similar), or equivalent relevant experience. 

• PMP certification 

• Experience in Media, Streaming, Broadcast, Video Technology, or SaaS-based software delivery environments. 

• Familiarity with Agile scaling approaches such as SAFe, Scrum@Scale, or similar frameworks. 

• Experience leveraging delivery analytics, automation, or AI-assisted tools to improve project governance and reporting.
