Project Lead Engineer - GIS Primary

The Opportunity

The Project Lead Primary design engineer will work on designing on primary design engineering for GIS High voltage switchgear accountable for delivery of engineering solutions on time with Quality.

How Youll Make An Impact

• Driving the full design process (conceptual to detailed), including creating 3D models, CAD drawings, and performing design calculations to validate designs.
• Coordinate with other cross functions like project management, Design engineers, and secondary designs for design aspects.
• Preparation of 3D modelling of high voltage Switchgears (GIS, Hybrid switchgear, Live tank, dead tank breakers etc).
• Coach and mentor less experienced engineers. Co-ordination and reviewing the 2D and 3D drawings before submitting the same to customers.
• Preparation of guaranteed technical parameters for various high voltage.
• Addressing the technical queries raised by customers during the execution of the project in case required.
• Supporting various cross functions like SCM, project management, and quality for understanding the customer requirements and specifications if required, supporting onsite installation and commissioning colleagues to understand the customer drawings and other technical support.
• Coordinate with customers, resolve queries, and ensure the engineering drawings are approved on time.
• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years years of experience.
• Hands of experience in Creo and Windchill.
• Experience in working in Switchgear mechanical design especially GIS.
• Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEEE, IEC, etc.
• Understanding of Manufacturing Drawings & Electrical Schematics.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
