PIPING MATERIAL ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for Quality, Budget, and Schedule of all activities related to Offshore piping materials.
• Develop and issue Project Piping Material Specifications as per design and project requirements.
• Perform pipe wall thickness calculations based on process and design conditions.
• Prepare technical specifications for the procurement of piping components and valves.
• Carry out technical bid evaluations and assist in vendor selection.
• Review and approve vendor documents for piping materials and components.
• Coordinate with the inspection team during material inspections and clarifications.
• Ensure proper material management using Piping Material Management Systems.
• Interface with procurement, construction, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Support resolution of material-related issues during construction and commissioning phases.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• 10+ years of relevant experience in EPC projects, preferably in Offshore fixed facilities and FPSO Projects
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards related to piping materials (ASME, ASTM, API)
• Hands-on experience with material management software such as Marian, SmartPlant Materials (SPMat), JES, or PIPICOM
• Good understanding of Offshore piping systems, materials compatibility, and valve/piping component specifications
• Strong coordination, review, and communication skills
