Job Description: Manager – Strategic Partnerships

About The Role

AssetPlus is looking for a dynamic and high-energy Manager – Strategic Partnerships to join our Marketing and Strategic Initiatives team. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and scaling our nationwide referral partner network.

Your core objective is to identify, acquire, and manage institutional and individual partners who can feed our ecosystem with new and aspiring Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs). You will be the face of our partnership program, driving growth through a diverse mix of educational, financial, and digital content channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partner Acquisition: Identify and sign up 50+ high-potential referral partners within the first year. Target segments include NISM Training Academies, CA Coaching Institutes, Fintech platforms, Insurance Marketing Firms, and prominent Financial/YouTube Content Creators.
  • Program Evangelism: Act as the primary champion for the AssetPlus Referral Program. Create high-impact pitch decks, training materials, and value propositions that effectively convert prospective partners.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of 3 associates. Define performance KPIs, oversee daily operations, and ensure the team hits recruitment and activation targets.
  • Relationship Management: Build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with institutional partners. Ensure a smooth onboarding experience and ongoing engagement for all signed partners.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to refine our partnership strategy.
  • Field Engagement: Spend approximately 30% of your time traveling across India to meet key partners, represent AssetPlus at industry events, and drive on-ground acquisition efforts.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3 to 7 years of professional experience, preferably in B2B consultative selling, key account management, or partnership development.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree is mandatory. An MBA (Marketing/Finance/General Management) is highly desired but not mandatory.
  • Professional Persona: A high-energy "hunter" mindset with a proven track record of managing large-scale sales pipelines.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills. You should be comfortable pitching to senior stakeholders and building influence.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience or high potential in leading small teams, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Location: Ability to work from our Chennai office in Olympia Cyberspace, Guindy.
