Manager Firmware Engineering

We are seeking an experienced M2 Manager, Firmware Engineering to lead firmware execution for Keyboard and Mouse New Product Introductions (NPIs).

This role is responsible for managing a team of firmware engineers and driving end-to-end firmware delivery for new keyboard, mouse, and combo products—from concept validation through engineering builds, design verification, manufacturing ramp, and launch.

The ideal candidate combines strong embedded firmware expertise with proven people leadership, cross-functional program execution, and a deep understanding of consumer electronics development in high-volume environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead firmware development for PWS keyboard and mouse NPI programs
• Manage and develop a team of firmware engineers
• Drive firmware execution across EVT, DVT, PVT, and production
• Partner cross-functionally with Hardware, QA, Program management, EE and Mechanical Team, Suppliers and SOC Vendors
• Oversee firmware architecture, implementation, debugging, and release readiness
• Ensure robust wireless performance, low power consumption, device reliability, and manufacturability
• Support factory bring-up, production test, and post-ramp issue resolution
• Drive continuous improvement in firmware development processes and team effectiveness
  
  

Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 8+ years of embedded firmware experience
• 3+ years of engineering management or technical team leadership
• Experience delivering consumer electronics products through NPI into mass production
• Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++, MCU systems, wireless technologies, and debugging tools
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and execute in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with keyboard, mouse, HID, BLE, USB, or wireless peripherals is strongly preferred
• Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Highly organized with strong multi-project planning, management, and tracking skills.
• Experience with version control tools, such as Git.
• Expertise in using AI Tools and creating tools using AI
• Familiarity with Agile development, unit testing, and scripting.
• Experience in Bluetooth and bidirectional RF Human Interface Device (HID) firmware development.
