Level: Lead AI and Data Solutions Engineer II

As a Lead AI and Data Solutions Engineer II at Deloitte Consulting, you will oversee the technical delivery of enterprise-scale software solutions, lead cross-functional and global teams and mentor junior members. You will collaborate to understand functional requirements, support sales and proposal efforts, and drive end-to-end project delivery, including estimation and planning, to ensure successful outcomes.

Work you’ll do:

Collaborate with the functional team and client to thoroughly understand business requirements. Oversee technical delivery by providing architectural and implementation recommendations. Lead documentation efforts, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices. Direct the design and development of solutions, ensuring timely delivery according to project plans. Work closely with project leadership to identify and escalate potential risks and prepare status reports. Mentor junior team members and facilitate communication between various teams within the engagement. Respond to proposals by providing accurate estimations and technical input, supporting the overall success and alignment of project objectives with client needs.

AI & Data professionals will work with our clients to:

• Design and modernize large-scale data and analytics platforms including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud, edge and AI/ML technologies, platforms and methodologies for storage, processing
• Leverage automation, cognitive and AI based solutions to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions
• Drive operational efficiency by managing and upgrading their data ecosystems and application platforms, utilizing analytics expertise and providing As-a-Service models to ensure continuous insights and enhancements.

Qualifications

Required:

• 10-15 years of relevant hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistical Modeling
• Lead a 3–5-member team on multiple ends to end DS/ML projects
• Excellent communication and client/stakeholder management skills
• Must have strong hands-on experience with programming languages like Python, PySpark and SQL, and frameworks such as Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.
• Expertise in Classification, Regression, Time series, Decision Trees, Optimization, etc.
• Hands on knowledge of Docker containerization, GIT, Tableau or PowerBI
• Model deployment on Cloud or On-prem will be an added advantage
• Familiar with Databricks, Snowflake, or Hyperscalers (AWS/Azure/GCP/NVIDIA)
• Lead and deliver large-scale DS/ML end to end projects across multiple industries and domains
• Liaison with on-site and client teams to understand various business problem statements, use cases and project requirements
• Lead a team of Data Engineers, ML/AI Engineers, DevOps, and other Data & AI professionals to deliver projects from inception to implementation
• Utilize maths/stats, AI, and cognitive techniques to analyze and process data, predict scenarios, and prescribe actions.
• Assist and participate in pre-sales, client pursuits and proposals
• Drive a human-led culture of Inclusion & Diversity by caring deeply for all team members
  
  

Preferred:

• Should follow research papers, comprehend and innovate/present the best approaches/solutions related to DS/ML
• AI/Cloud certification from a premier institute is preferred.
  
  

Education:

• BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
