Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Light Fabrication Design Engineer with experience in designing and developing fabricated sheet metal and structural components. The candidate should have strong knowledge of CAD modelling, fabrication drawings, sheet metal design, welding, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop light fabrication components and assemblies based on engineering requirements.
Create 3D models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
Design sheet metal parts, brackets, frames, enclosures, supports, panels, and fabricated structures.
Prepare fabrication drawings including welding details, dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, and material specifications.
Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
Perform design modifications based on production and quality feedback.
Create and maintain BOMs and engineering documentation.
Support prototype development and resolve fabrication-related design issues.
Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering and quality standards

Work Experience
Strong experience in Light Fabrication Design / Sheet Metal Design.
Proficiency in Creo
Good Experience In
Sheet metal design
Fabrication processes
Welding processes and symbols
Structural assemblies
GD&T and tolerance stack-up
Manufacturing drawings
BOM management
Experience in creating 3D models and detailed 2D drawings.
Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles.
Preferred Skills
Experience in heavy equipment, automotive, industrial equipment, or engineering manufacturing.
Experience working with PLM/PDM tools such as Teamcenter or Windchill.
Knowledge of material selection and fabrication standards.
Exposure to supplier coordination and prototype development.
Educational Qualification
BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
