Job Description

Lead Software Quality Engineer -Test Automation/AI Adoption

Experience: 8–14 years

Primary Technical Skills

Strong experience in Finance domain testing, including ERP, Billing, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Payroll, Tax, Treasury, Fixed Assets, Procurement, and Financial Reporting.

Hands-on experience in API Testing using REST/SOAP, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, Rest Assured, JSON/XML validation, OAuth/JWT authentication, and API contract testing.

Strong expertise in ETL/Data Warehouse Testing, including source-to-target validation, data profiling, transformation validation, data reconciliation, CDC validation, batch processing, file validation (CSV/XML/JSON), and data quality testing.

Advanced SQL Server skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, views, triggers, functions, execution plan analysis, query optimization, and backend data validation.

Experience Testing Applications On Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Including

Secret Manager

Experience validating cloud-native microservices, event-driven integrations, asynchronous messaging, and distributed systems.

Strong Test Automation Experience Using

Selenium WebDriver

Java

TestNG/JUnit

Maven/Gradle

Rest Assured

Playwright

Cucumber BDD

Experience with AI-assisted testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, intelligent test generation, self-healing automation, and AI-enabled quality engineering.

CI/CD pipeline validation using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps Pipelines, and automated deployment verification.

Version control using Git/GitHub.

Defect management using Jira and Azure DevOps.

Agile/Scrum and DevOps delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Quality Engineering activities across Finance applications and enterprise integrations.

Define QA strategy, test architecture, automation strategy, and release quality gates.

Design and execute Functional, Integration, Regression, System, ETL, API, UAT, Performance, and Production Validation testing.

Develop reusable automation frameworks and increase automation coverage across UI, API, and backend validation.

Perform backend validation using SQL Server and BigQuery datasets.

Validate ETL pipelines, cloud data migration, financial reconciliations, and batch processing.

Validate REST APIs, event-driven integrations, Pub/Sub messaging, and microservices.

Perform financial transaction validation, reconciliation, audit trail verification, and accounting rule validation.

Analyze application logs, API logs, SQL logs, and cloud monitoring logs to identify root causes.

Collaborate with Solution Architects, Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Finance SMEs, and Cloud Engineering teams.

Lead defect triage, risk assessments, root cause analysis, and production readiness reviews.

Drive automation, AI adoption, shift-left testing, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Mentor QA engineers on automation frameworks, API testing, ETL validation, cloud testing, and engineering best practices.

Preferred Technical Skills

ServiceNow testing

SSIS, Informatica, or Talend ETL tools

BigQuery and cloud-based data warehousing

Kafka or Pub/Sub messaging validation

Performance testing using JMeter

Contract testing using Pact

Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals

Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Google Cloud Logging

Experience with enterprise Finance platforms including SAP, Oracle Financials, Workday, and PeopleSoft

Experience with enterprise data migration, cloud modernization, and financial systems integration
