What Does a Lead Business Affairs Coordinator do at WPP Production?
The Lead Business Affairs Coordinator supports the coordination, tracking, and delivery of production
and media projects, working closely with clients, internal teams, production partners, TV channels,
and media platforms. The role ensures project information, approvals, usage rights, schedules, and
deliverables are accurately managed and completed within agreed timelines. The position also helps
coordinate cross-functional and international workflows while proactively tracking requirements and
resolving potential delays.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination and tracking of project timelines, milestones, schedules, and delivery
requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, internal teams, production partners, TV channels, media platforms,
and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Gather and consolidate media plans, schedules, briefs, content requirements, and other
relevant project information.
- Coordinate with business affairs, production, creative, legal, finance, and operations teams to
ensure timely completion of project requirements.
- Collect, organize, and maintain project information including scripts, titles, artist details,
credits, content specifications, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate and
- track approvals for TV, digital, and other media content, ensuring outstanding actions are
followed up.
- Maintain records related to usage rights, costs, schedules, deliverables, and other key business
affairs requirements.
- Coordinate content delivery to TV channels, media platforms, and other distribution partners
in line with agreed specifications and deadlines.
- Monitor project deadlines and proactively follow up with stakeholders to identify and address
potential delays or risks.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, trackers, status reports, and records for ongoing
projects.
- Support the preparation of project updates and reports for internal stakeholders and
management.
- Ensure project information and deliverables are aligned with client requirements, internal
processes, and international workflows.
- Support process improvements and contribute to efficient coordination and delivery across
projects.
- Take ownership of open actions and escalate issues or risks to the appropriate stakeholders
when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; preferably in Media, Communication, Business, or a related
field.
- 3–6 years of experience in business affairs, production coordination, media operations, content
management, project coordination, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of media, production, content delivery, or business affairs workflows is
an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and
deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international teams in a fast-paced,
deadline-driven environment.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, follow-up, and issue resolution.
- Ability to take ownership of deliverables and ensure timely completion of assigned
responsibilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving media processes, production practices, and
international workflows.
