Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and design of all food items and menus.
  • Supervise kitchen team members and help train new recruits.
  • Ensure consistent and high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Monitor and control stock levels, timely ordering of supplies and ingredients.
  • Work with the Head Chef to maintain kitchen organization and efficiency.
  • Support Sous Chef in developing new recipes and setting seasonal menus.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe working environment for all kitchen staff.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented correctly before serving.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and kitchen safety standards.
  • Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and coordinate necessary repairs.
  • Resolve any kitchen issues swiftly to maintain workflow and quality.
  • Participate in daily kitchen briefings and report any issues to senior chefs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen or similar culinary position.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from an accredited institution.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in a kitchen setting.
  • Passion for creating high-quality food with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new cooking techniques and recipes.
