Java Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with strong automation experience to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of scalable backend systems and distributed applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java-based automation frameworks, testing microservices, and validating event-driven systems deployed in cloud-native environments. This role involves close collaboration with development and DevOps teams to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java.
• Develop automated test cases for APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Validate system functionality, performance, and reliability across distributed environments.
• Test applications deployed using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Perform testing in AWS-based environments.
• Validate messaging workflows and data flows using Kafka.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests.
  
  

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in Quality Engineering or QA Automation.
• Strong experience in Java-based automation testing.
• Experience testing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience testing event-driven or messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Good understanding of software testing principles and test methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.

• Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, RestAssured, or similar tools.
• Exposure to performance or load testing tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
