Job Title: IT Manager

Location: Chennai (Head Office)

Reports To: Managing Director

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on IT Manager to lead and manage our organization’s IT infrastructure, enterprise software systems, cloud platforms, and information security compliance. The role requires ownership of IT operations across the head office and multiple branch locations, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of all technology systems.

The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities, suited for a growing SME with distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• IT Infrastructure Management
• Oversee end-to-end IT infrastructure including servers, networks, endpoints, and communication systems.
• Ensure high availability and performance of IT systems across all locations.
• Manage IT assets, procurement, vendor relationships, and AMC contracts.
• Standardize IT setup for branch offices and remote employees.
• Software Systems & Applications
• Manage and support ERP, CRM, and other business-critical applications.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for implementation, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Drive process automation and digitalization initiatives.
• Ensure proper documentation, licensing, and usage compliance.
• Cloud & Digital Platforms
• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud).
• Oversee cloud cost optimization and performance monitoring.
• Manage SaaS tools used across departments (collaboration, sales, support, finance, etc.).
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Information Security & Compliance
• Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO 27001, GDPR where applicable, Indian IT laws).
• Conduct periodic security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation.
• Manage endpoint security, firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Lead incident response and data protection initiatives.
• User Support & IT Operations
• Ensure timely IT support for employees across locations.
• Implement ticketing/helpdesk systems and SLAs.
• Train employees on IT best practices and cybersecurity awareness.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding IT processes.
• Team & Vendor Management
• Lead internal IT team (if applicable) and external service providers.
• Negotiate and manage IT vendors, MSPs, and cloud partners.
• Ensure service delivery quality and cost efficiency.
• Strategic Initiatives
• Align IT strategy with business goals and growth plans.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives across business units.
  
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred
  
  

Experience

• 8–15 years of experience in IT management roles
• Experience in SMEs or multi-location organizations preferred
• Proven track record in managing infrastructure, cloud, and security
