Responsibilities

• The role will provide HSE support to Service IND - Northern Region, ensuring that the service wind farms achieve their safety and environmental goals
• The role will actively promote a safety-first culture aligned with the Vestas safety principles
• The Service Safety Professional is responsible for working with operational staff and operational people leaders
• The role will effectively assess potential risks associated with work methods and collaboratively identify and implement effective controls
• The position ensures compliance with the Vestas Safety Management System and the associated India Safety Management Plans
• The role is responsible for implementing the India Injury Reduction Programs across the LoB
• The role may be assigned additional responsibilities from time to time in response to current and emerging risks or incidents
• The role will work with operational staff to improve situational risk awareness related to work methods, tasks, and the environment in which people work, actively seeking ways to reduce risks
  
  

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree/Diploma any stream
• Degree or Diploma in Health Safety & Environment (Essential)
• Certificate course in NEBOSH or IOSH in OH&S (Preferred)
• Experience: Min of 5-7 Years of work experience in HSE field preferably from Power /Oil &Gas /Renewable service sector and Willing to work at service site office in Gujarat region
  
  

Competencies

• Strong technical background with solid knowledge of applicable HSE legislation, acts, regulations, codes of practice, and relevant industry standards
• Exposure to HSE‑specific software programs/database, including injury and incident management systems
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs
• Demonstrated practical, hands‑on approach to Health, Safety, and Environmental issues
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communication abilities, suitable for a professional service-provider environment
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Sound decision‑making skills with the ability to translate decisions into actionable outcomes
• Commitment to continual improvement of systems and processes
• Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental stewardship at all times
• Excellent time‑management and reporting skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Proficient understanding of MS Office applications, with intermediate-level skills; experience using database systems such as ERP (SAP) is an advantage
