GCP Architect-Lead Software Engineer II

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting Services, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

Work you'll do

As a Lead Software Engineer II on the Enterprise Performance team, you will be responsible for:

  • Design, secure, and implement enterprise solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including distributed application, data, and artificial intelligence architectures.
  • Build scalable cloud architectures using microservices, serverless, event-driven, streaming, hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, and multi-region design patterns.
  • Develop and integrate generative artificial intelligence solutions using Vertex AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent-based frameworks, and large language model (LLM) security controls.
  • Architect and implement cloud networking and security controls using virtual private cloud (VPC), Shared VPC, VPC Peering, Interconnect, Cloud NAT, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP), VPC Service Controls, Key Management Service (KMS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) API, Secret Manager, and Security Command Center.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure and operational workflows using Terraform, Deployment Manager, Cloud Composer (Airflow), logging and monitoring tools, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

The Enterprise Performance team leverages deep industry knowledge, strong analytical skills, and practical approaches to address clients’ toughest business challenges. Our professionals as part of the Supply Chain Network Operations (SCNO) service line within Enterprise Performance focus on helping organizations achieve sustainable competitive advantage throughout their operations, spanning product development, planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. We excel at translating strategic objectives into tangible, measurable outcomes at the operational level. By aligning high-level goals with frontline execution, we ensure our clients realize real value and improved performance across every stage of their supply chain and operations.

Location: Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Pune / Chennai / Kolkata

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST, based on business requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience designing secure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architectures across networking, data, and artificial intelligence workloads.
  • Experience implementing cloud security controls and architectures for regulated data or artificial intelligence environments.
  • Experience designing GCP networking solutions using VPC, Shared VPC, VPC Peering, Interconnect, Cloud NAT, and Private Google Access.
  • Experience implementing GCP security services, including IAM, IAP, VPC Service Controls, KMS, DLP API, Secret Manager, organization policies, audit logging, and Security Command Center.
  • Experience designing microservices, serverless, event-driven, streaming, hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, or multi-region architectures, including application programming interface (API) or data gateway patterns.
  • Experience using Vertex AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent-based artificial intelligence frameworks, or large language model (LLM) integration controls.
  • Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, Master of Computer Applications, Master of Technology, or equivalent degree from an accredited university.

Preferred:

  • GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification.
  • Experience using BigQuery, Cloud SQL, NoSQL databases, or vector databases.
  • Experience using Python, Go, SQL, Bash, or Java.
  • Experience automating infrastructure with Terraform or Deployment Manager.
  • Experience orchestrating workflows with Cloud Composer (Airflow).
  • Experience integrating logging, monitoring, and CI/CD tools into cloud delivery pipelines.
