Job Title: Lead Frontend Engineer

Role Summary

We are hiring a Lead Frontend Engineer with 15+ years of experience to own frontend architecture, performance, real-time communication, and UI systems at scale. This role is for an engineer who understands not only how to build UIs, but why certain styling, state, and library choices scale better over time.

Required Qualifications

Must have

·       10+ years of frontend/web engineering experience

·       3+ years of production experience with Next.js

·       Expert knowledge of React, TypeScript, and browser fundamentals

Additional Qualifications

·       Deep experience with:

o   Styling systems and UI architecture

o   State management patterns

o   Real-time frontend systems

·       Proven track record of leading frontend architecture at scale

Core Responsibilities

Frontend Architecture / System Design

·       Design scalable, maintainable frontend architectures for complex web applications

·       Define application structure, module boundaries, and shared component strategies

·       Drive decisions around:

o   Rendering models (SSR, SSG, ISR, CSR)

o   Styling architecture

o   State and data flow

·       Apply architectural patterns such as:

o   Component-driven architecture

o   Feature/domain-based organization

o   Micro-frontend patterns (when justified)

·       Maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and ADRs

Frontend Engineering (Hands-on)

·       Build and maintain production-grade applications using Next.js (3+ years) and modern React

·       Write clean, maintainable TypeScript

·       Design and evolve reusable component libraries and design systems

·       Lead code reviews focusing on architecture, performance, and long-term maintainabilityStyling / UI Architecture

·       Design and enforce scalable styling strategies using a mix of:

o   CSS Modules

o   Styled-components / Emotion

o   Utility-first CSS (Tailwind or similar)

o   Traditional CSS / SCSS
