What youll be doing:

1. Financial Operations & Bookkeeping

• Oversee end-to-end bookkeeping and monthly closing of accounts in accordance with Indian GAAP and US accounting standards.
• Manage reconciliations for banks, revenue, intercompany transactions, and payroll.
• Coordinate with external accountants/auditors for statutory and management reporting.
• Ensure timely generation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.

2. Compliance & Regulatory Management

• Ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements (GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, ROC filings) and US compliance (state registrations, sales tax, 1099/W-8BEN filings).
• Manage FEMA, RBI, and cross-border compliance related to inward remittances and transfer pricing.
• Coordinate with legal and compliance partners for periodic reviews and filings.
• Maintain documentation for SOC2, ISO, and other regulatory certifications as needed.

3. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Build and maintain the company’s financial model covering revenue, expenses, and profitability across products and geographies.
• Conduct monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis; identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Partner with department heads to translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes.
• Prepare forecasts for ARR growth, CAC, LTV, EBITDA, runway, and scenario planning.

4. Budgeting & Management Reporting

• Lead the annual and quarterly budgeting cycles; establish financial targets aligned with company OKRs.
• Prepare management dashboards and board reports with clear commentary on performance.
• Present key insights on unit economics, departmental spend, and efficiency metrics.
• Support strategic projects such as fundraising, investor reporting, and due diligence.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with GTM, Product, and People teams to ensure financial accountability and alignment.
• Partner with HR on payroll, ESOP accounting, and benefits reconciliation.
• Coordinate with US finance team for consolidation, inter-company eliminations, and audit readiness.

What we are looking for:

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or MBA (Finance) with 5–8 years of experience.
• Prior experience in a B2B SaaS or technology startup preferred.
• Strong understanding of US and Indian compliance, including accounting standards and tax structures.
• Proficiency in tools like QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books, or NetSuite; Excel, Google Sheets and Business intelligence tools fluency is a must.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
