Expert Data Scientist

Ciklum is looking for an Expert Data Scientist to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

As an Expert Data Scientist with strong foundations in Data Engineering, Knowledge Graphs, and AI/ML you will design and implement advanced data-driven solutions. This role requires a blend of technical depth, innovative thinking, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

• Data Engineering Excellence
• Architect and optimize scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Ensure data quality, governance, and efficient ETL/ELT processes
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data solutions into production systems
• Knowledge Graph Development
• Design and build semantic knowledge graphs to model complex relationships
• Apply graph-based algorithms for entity resolution, recommendation, and inference
• Leverage ontologies and linked data standards to enhance interoperability
• AI/ML Innovation
• Develop and deploy machine learning models for predictive analytics, NLP, and recommendation systems
• Experiment with deep learning frameworks to solve domain-specific problems
• Continuously evaluate and improve model performance using cutting-edge techniques
• Cross-functional Collaboration
• Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to identify opportunities for data-driven impact
• Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Mentor junior data scientists and engineers

Requirements:

• Advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field
• 9+ years of experience in data science and engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop)
• Hands-on experience with graph databases (Neo4j, RDF, GraphQL) and semantic technologies
• Expertise in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proven track record of deploying ML models and data solutions at scale

Desirable:

• Experience with knowledge representation and ontologies
• Familiarity with MLOps practices for scalable deployment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
