About this Position

Responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing of adhesives, sealants, coatings, and specialty chemical products through process optimization, new product implementation, raw material qualification, quality improvement, capacity enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives. The role drives manufacturing excellence by partnering with Production, R&D, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and global teams to develop, standardize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational performance. 

What you´ll do

  • Drive process optimization projects to improve safety, quality, productivity, yield, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Optimize mixing, blending, batch processing, filling, and packaging operations.
  • Lead cost reduction, cycle time improvement, and capacity enhancement initiatives.
  • Manage new product introductions, plant trials, scale-up activities, and commercialization.
  • Support technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing and establish process parameters.
  • Develop, validate, and standardize manufacturing processes, batch cards, and process control documentation.
  • Collaborate with global and regional engineering, R&D, and operations teams to implement new technologies and processes.
  • Lead qualification and implementation of new and alternate raw materials, including MOC activities.
  • Investigate process deviations, quality issues, and production losses using RCA and CAPA methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process reliability and product performance.
  • Ensure products consistently meet quality standards and support quality improvement programs.
  • Monitor process and quality trends, implementing preventive and corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with SHE, Process Safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in HAZOP studies, risk assessments, safety audits, and process safety improvement initiatives.
  • Support sustainable manufacturing through waste, emissions, and energy reduction projects.
  • Analyze plant capacity, identify bottlenecks, and drive debottlenecking and OEE improvement projects.
  • Define batch cycle times and provide technical support for production planning and operations.
  • Lead implementation and closure of process-related Management of Change (MOC) projects.
  • Provide processing cost estimates and evaluate manufacturing cost optimization opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional projects involving R&D, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Procurement, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
  • Provide technical training and operational support to manufacturing teams.
  • Support customer audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance requirements.

What makes you a good fit

  • Should have Chemical engineering degree
  • Minimum 3 years experience in process engineering function.
  • Worked on finalizing manufacturing processes in the chemical industry.
  • Experience with relevant chemical manufacturing equipment.
  • Willing to work in General Shift.
  • Tamil language proficiency is preferred but not mandatory.
