Are you interested in applying your CFD expertise while continuously learning and innovating? Danfoss HPP is looking for a curious CFD Simulation Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our innovation team in Chennai – Oragadam. You will work across the simulation lifecycle to improve the performance and efficiency of pumps and energy recovery devices, gaining exposure to high-pressure hydraulic systems and impactful applications such as freshwater production, wastewater treatment, and ZLD.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leverage your expertise in CFD to develop sophisticated models and perform advanced simulations, contributing to the design of innovative products.
  • Provide analytical solutions and ensure the accuracy and reliability of numerical simulations by correlating results with experimental data.
  • Continuously optimize simulation setups and execution strategies to improve resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with other simulation engineers (CFD and FEA) and cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and testing engineers, to integrate simulation insights into the product development process.
  • Utilize Python and/or MATLAB for efficient post-processing, analysis of simulation data, and automation.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports that effectively communicate simulation and experimental findings, providing clear and actionable design recommendations.

What Were Looking For
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics, or a related field, with strong hands-on CFD expertise using tools such as SIMERICS, ANSYS, or COMSOL.
  • Exposure to acoustics, FEA, and engineering tools including ANSYS SpaceClaim/Discovery, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Working knowledge of machine learning techniques and optimization methods applied to engineering problems.
  • Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented mindset with a sense of ownership and a passion for exploring innovative solutions.
  • Flexible, collaborative team player with a cross-functional outlook and a solid understanding of the product development lifecycle.
