Job Summary
We are seeking a technically strong and reliability-focused Engineers to join our Change Management team. This role is critical to ensuring production stability, operational resilience, and governance excellence through structured change processes. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a change implementor or change manager, with hands-on expertise in infrastructure, application support, networking, cloud, and database operations. You will lead and participate in Change Control Board (CCB) meetings, After Action Reviews (AARs) and readiness activities such as wargames and disaster recovery (DR) exercises. You will also collaborate with incident and problem management teams to ensure seamless service restoration and proactive risk mitigation.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and participate in Change Control Board (CCB) meetings across products and applications.
- Lead or support After Action Reviews (AARs) ensuring root cause clarity and governance follow-through.
- Review and assess change requests for technical accuracy, risk, and compliance with change management policies.
- Collaborate with incident and problem management teams to ensure timely resolution and post-change stability.
- Participate in wargame simulations and Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises, contributing to scenario planning and execution.
- Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders as needed, document and communicate accordingly.
- Provide regular and reliable reporting of relevant data to meet management requirements.
- Provide technical insights during change reviews, especially in areas involving infrastructure, networking, cloud, databases, and application services.
- Monitor and track change-related activities, ensuring alignment with lead time.
- Support release management activities and application service patching, including vulnerability remediation.
- Maintain high standards of documentation, audit readiness, and continuous improvement in change processes.
- Contribute to automation and tooling initiatives that enhance change governance and operational resilience.
- Works with team members to identify areas of focus, where training may improve team performance
Technical Skills Required
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers).
- Experience with cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands-on knowledge of datacenter operations, including hardware lifecycle and monitoring.
- Experience with database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and patching/maintenance.
- Exposure to application support activities, including release management, vulnerability patching, and application server operations (Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic).
- Familiarity with ITIL Change Management and Incident/Problem Management frameworks.
- Experience with monitoring tools and triage procedures.
- Proficiency with change management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure, or Change/Incident Management roles.
- Proven experience as a Change Implementor or Change Manager in a technically complex environment.
- ITIL Foundation or Intermediate certification.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership escalation handling skills.
- Preferred shift timing is 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST, with flexibility to extend or vary based on business needs and operational priorities.
- Experience in supporting business objectives in a partnered/outsourced model.
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven change analysis or automation tools is a plus.
