As an Energy Optimisation Back-Office Engineer, you will be part of a team which handles energy projects for commercial buildings, based in Chennai, India.

Moreover, you will join an expanding international team established to elevate our competences on energy optimisation as well as handle projects globally. In total, the global EOBO team has 7 engineers located in different parts of the word.

World-class level support to energy optimisation projects globally

Using your technical knowledge, you will take responsibility of working on energy optimisation projects by defining the most efficient solutions available, calculating potential energy savings, CO2 reduction as well as financial metrics such as payback & ROI.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Technical analysis of energy optimisation project requests
• Development and improvement of energy optimization methodologies and savings calculations for HVAC systems from a holistic perspective such as estimation of energy savings in chillers/boilers/other system components derived from retrofitting and optimizing the operation of the associated pumping systems, and how to optimize low Delta T.
• Development and design of optimized technical pumping solutions according to our customers’ metrics, requirements, and needs with high focus on energy savings
• Calculate energy savings, CO2 reduction as well as relevant financial metrics
• Use specific software tools, create energy reports including all relevant metrics & detailed solution
• Provide technical support to ensure maximum energy business outcomes
• Liaise with different stakeholders ensuring a fully aligned coordination between teams
• Continuous support to local aftermarket sales & sales teams to raise the bar for energy optimisation, related tools and processes
• This position will directly report to the Global Energy Optimisation Business Development Manager, CBS Global Sales Development.

• It is essential that you have the interpersonal skills to build trust and establish credibility in the organization. You know your field, and any stakeholder working with must feel confident that your solution is bullet proof.
  
  

Moreover, we imagine that you bring:

• An BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience
• More than 7-10 years of experience within HVAC systems and Boosting systems in Commercial Buildings, either as a Retrofit Consultant Engineer, ESCO Engineer, Energy Consultant, Energy Auditor, Energy Analyst, Energy Engineer or similar relevant experience
• Knowledge of retrofit methodologies to improve Low Delta T Syndrome in HVAC systems and quantifying expected impact of the measures
• Knowledge of chiller/boiler optimization methodologies and quantification of expected energy savings
• Knowledge of energy conservation measures for HVAC systems
• Deep HVAC and building water boosting application knowledge, namely, how to optimize control and operation of the systems
• Knowledge of hydraulic & energy efficiency measures
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Programming skills in VBA or other coding language are a plus for creating small scripts to automate tasks
• Good communication skills in English
• Experience with international projects is a plus
