We are looking for: Technical Writer/Editor - Document Controller

You’ll Make An Impact By

  • Keeping Master document list up to date so that project team receive latest information all the time.
  • Document Controller is responsible for generating document numbers from the database on request from project team.
  • Send documents/software to 3rd parties according to the agreed project instructions.
  • Support Sales team with documentation in project awarding phase.
  • Control & archive all incoming and outgoing project documentation by following Siemens’ standard and make sure documents are available in the project library on time.
  • Assist Team Members with making hardcopies and putting them into binders.
  • Close out & archive Project library and project emails.
  • On commencement of new project, determine documentation requirements and submittal dates with Project Manager/Project Engineer by filling Master Document List
  • Expedite Internal and external clients to make sure set document milestones are achieved.
  • Prepare weekly progress report for Project Manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of Final Documentation (Final Record book) in the format requested by client.
  • Support on administration tasks in the project team.
  • Use project document management plan template and customize as project specific.
  • Attend regular coordination meeting with Lead Document Control and provide project updates.
  • Stay in close contact with project team and communicate on daily base.
  • Work according to the work process as specified in Siemens Quality system
  • Monitor quality and initiate improvements in document management process.
  • Perform Quality Checks before releasing documents to client or sub-supplier.
  • Review of technical documents according to the work instructions
  • Through reviews, samples and audits to ensure that the content of the document management system is correct.

  • BE electrical or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years minimal technical experience.
  • Document admin, quality of documents that we send to the customer.
  • Result and quality drive, communication skills.
  • Analytical skills, team player, creativity.
  • Technical expertise and skills
  • Software and tooling – Advanced
  • Engineering work process – Basic
  • Knowledge of components and systems.
  • Design methods, testing and commissioning.
