Job Title: Data Science and Machine Learning Specialist

Location: Chennai

Work Type: Hybrid (4 Days work From Office)

Position Description

• Employees in this job function apply data science, machine learning, advanced analytics, and Agentic AI to turn data into actionable insights and scalable solutions.
• They work closely with business and technology teams to understand real-world needs, develop and deploy intelligent systems, and measure their impact.
• Using a Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) approach, they bring technical solutions closer to users and operational environments—adapting them to practical workflows, constraints, and outcomes.
  
  

• Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, and end users to understand problems, define success measures, and translate requirements into data science, machine learning, or AI solutions.
• Explore and prepare structured and unstructured datasets; assess data quality, identify relevant signals, and determine appropriate analytical methods and technologies.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy statistical models, machine learning algorithms, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and experiments to support data-driven decisions.
• Build and evaluate Agentic AI solutions, including agents and multi-agent workflows that can reason, use tools, retrieve information, and complete tasks under appropriate human oversight and safeguards.
• Apply FDE practices by working directly with users and operational teams to prototype, integrate, validate, and improve solutions in their real-world environments.
• Develop scalable and reliable data and AI workflows, including data ingestion, augmentation, feature engineering, model evaluation, orchestration, monitoring, and automation.
• Assess solutions for accuracy, robustness, security, privacy, fairness, explainability, and operational readiness; establish appropriate testing, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Communicate findings, model behavior, limitations, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, enabling informed decisions and responsible adoption.
• Stay current with advances in data science, machine learning, generative and Agentic AI, analytics platforms, and engineering practices; identify opportunities to improve solution quality, efficiency, and business value.

• Use AI tools to accelerate analysis and development, while validating their outputs.
• Integrate solutions into production workflows with engineering teams.
