Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Analytics Cloud Expert with a minimum of 8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, and enterprise planning solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) solutions to drive data-driven decision making across the organization. This role requires deep expertise in cloud-based analytics platforms, data modeling, and advanced visualization techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
We are seeking an experienced Manager - Data Analytics with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and enterprise data management. The successful candidate will lead a team of data professionals and drive the strategic implementation of SAPs cloud-based analytics ecosystem, including SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud. This role combines technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities to deliver enterprise-scale analytics solutions that drive business value across the organization.
Business
Coordinate with business analysts and internal customers to develop functional and technical specification documents
Understand the business needs and their pain points and design a solution that addresses their needs.
Since this roles deals with Analytical reporting, there will be a lot of collaboration with business teams, so communication has to be clear and to the point.
Ensure that all documentation, processes, and methodologies used in the various phases of system development and implementation is in accordance with the Group’s standards.
Possess sound communications skills.
Perform analysis of the current state, and future state requirements. Provide solution options, along with high level estimates, impact assessments and technology recommendations.
Create well-written and elaborated epics, stories and sub-tasks which can be reviewed by the business and utilized by the development and testing for implementation.
Highlight project risks, suggest how they might be mitigated.

Strong commitment to sound development practices, including test and deploy with version control
Ensure compliance of regulations and policies.
Ensure the solution is aligned with bank’s ICS controls.
Taking part in review forums such as ARF, FTC,sTK and CCH and ensure the solution is in line with the standards defined in these forums.
People & Talent
Should conduct regular status call and share status reports with team management. Collect requirements from business team and analyze it and propose right solution business
Identifies and recommends new technology or practices that will add value to the organization in terms of performance and cost.
Undertakes continuous improvement for the dev practice.

Ensure the deliverables are completed on time and support the processes whenever there is an absence of a team member by stepping up and performing their role

Solution Architecture & Design
Design and architect end-to-end SAP Analytics Cloud solutions for business intelligence and planning requirements
Develop comprehensive data models, stories, and analytic applications within SAC
Create and maintain data acquisition strategies for both live and import data connections
Design security models and implement role-based access controls for sensitive financial data
Establish best practices for SAC development, deployment, and governance
Development & Implementation
Build interactive dashboards, stories, and digital boardrooms using SAC native capabilities
Develop advanced calculations, formulas, and custom widgets for enhanced analytics
Create planning models and applications for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
Implement data transformations and prepare data models for optimal performance
Integrate SAC with various data sources including SAP HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and third-party systems
Data Integration & Connectivity
Establish and maintain connections to various data sources and systems
Implement real-time data integration using SACs live connection capabilities
Manage data acquisition processes and ensure data quality and consistency
Design and implement data governance frameworks
Optimize data refresh schedules and performance tuning
Stakeholder Management & Training
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Provide training and support to end-users on SAC functionalities
Lead workshops and demonstrations for business users and executives
Create documentation and user guides for developed solutions
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidanc
Required Qualifications
Strategic Leadership & Vision
Define and execute the data analytics strategy aligned with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives
Lead the adoption and implementation of SAPs cloud analytics platform suite (HANA Cloud, Datasphere, SAC)
Drive innovation in data analytics, predictive modeling, and AI-powered insights across business functions
Establish data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify analytics opportunities and business value creation
Technical Architecture & Implementation
Oversee the design and implementation of end-to-end analytics solutions using SAP cloud technologies
Drive the migration from legacy systems to SAP HANA Cloud and Datasphere
Ensure optimal integration between SAP Analytics Cloud, Datasphere, and other enterprise systems
Establish best practices for data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics development
Lead architectural reviews and ensure solutions meet scalability, performance, and security requirements
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management
Partner with business leaders across Functions, Risk, Treasury, and other key areas
Translate complex business requirements into technical analytics solutions
Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership and board committees
Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and SAP support teams
Drive user adoption and change management for new analytics capabilities
Project & Program Management
Oversee multiple concurrent analytics projects and ensure timely delivery within budget
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, Risk, Finance, and Compliance
Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies for analytics development and delivery
Ensure proper documentation, testing, and deployment processes
Innovation & Advanced Analytics
Drive the adoption of AI/ML capabilities within SAP Analytics Cloud and Datasphere
Implement predictive analytics, smart insights, and augmented analytics solutions
Explore emerging technologies and assess their potential for business value
Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new analytics use cases
Establish centers of excellence for advanced analytics and data science
Leadership & Management Experience
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields
4+ years of people management experience leading technical teams (5+ direct reports)
3+ years of experience in senior management roles with P&L responsibility
Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing analytics teams
Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and large-scale technology implementations
Technical Expertise
5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP analytics technologies
3+ years of specific experience with SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud
Deep understanding of cloud data architecture, data warehousing, and modern analytics platforms
Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and real-time analytics
Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or other analytics programming languages
Understanding of machine learning, AI, and predictive analytics concepts
SAP Ecosystem Knowledge
Comprehensive understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA integration with cloud analytics platforms
Knowledge of SAP security models, authorization frameworks, and data governance
Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5, ABAP development, and SAP integration technologies
Understanding of SAP licensing models and cloud economics

Solution Intent creation for different use cases across the SAP-BTP platform
Conduct multiple review discussions across multiple stakeholders in refining the Solution intent document
Get involved and help drive the overall SAP-BTP enablement including architectural and process recommendations across the portfolio
Proactively advice the management team on the emerging technology transformation trends that are most relevant to the company’s goals and evolving needs
High degree of proficiency in hands-on low-level design, coding, automation and troubleshooting
API, Microservices design expertise. Build reusable components / API’s when designing any foundational data project
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
Identify, design and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability etc
Work with stakeholders including the executive, product, data and design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
Support transformation agenda, business operating models, standards, finance risk controls and compliance with regulations
Engage with various business and technology stakeholders, participate in agile squad’s to recommend and finalise architecture design. Manage key stakeholders and senior management for architecture decisions and inputs
Experience in establishing effective partnerships across teams and influence senior management, peers and subordinates
Working with business clients to understand their needs and to implement the cloud strategies designed to meet those needs.
Ensuring Security while on-boarding apps into Cloud
Design and architect comprehensive SAP solutions that integrate with Hadoop and other big data technologies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into Solution Intent documentation.
Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, technical documentation, and best practices for SAP and big data integrations.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in SAP, Hadoop, and big data technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
Advanced Technical Experience
Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics on SAP HANA
Knowledge of SAP HANA Graph, Text Analytics, and Spatial processing
Experience with SAP HANA streaming analytics and real-time processing
Familiarity with big data technologies and data lake architectures
Understanding of data governance and master data management principles
Industry Experience
Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries
Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
Experience with enterprise-scale implementations
