Commercial Manager - Sourcing

Deliver tender excellence and commercial project delivery

Independent commercial handling of tenders and orders for high‑voltage cable projects is at the heart of this role, making it an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an international environment. You will contribute directly to the delivery of AC Onshore LEAN projects while supporting NKT’s mission to help create a greener future. In this role, you will manage the entire commercial tender and order process—from risk analyses and pricing to negotiations and shipment tracking—ensuring seamless execution for our customers and stakeholders. Manage commercial excellence across tenders and orders

In this position, you will manage tenders and orders on your own, reviewing documents, executing risk analyses, and working closely with Sales and TOOM to define optimal pricing strategies. You will prepare commercial offers, negotiate within agreed frameworks, and track offer progress. Once an order is confirmed, you will oversee the entire commercial administration, ensuring clarity on contractual conditions, proper order processing in SAP, and effective deadline management. You will play a key role in logistics coordination, including shipment planning and documentation, customs topics, and timely invoicing.

Your responsibility will be to:

• Review tenders, run commercial risk assessments, and manage offer preparation
• Calculate prices using the CPQ Offer Tool and coordinate pricing strategy
• Negotiate commercially with customers within defined limits
• Administer orders in SAP and manage contractual clarifications
• Handle logistics, customs, invoicing and support complaint processes
  
  

This role reports into the TOOM organization and collaborates with multiple internal stakeholders. The position is located in Chennai.

You also have:

• Completed education as Export Business Manager or Industrial Business Manager
• Fluency in German and English
• Proficiency in MS Office
