Job Description

You will be a key contributor to maintaining the robust and reliable operation of our global applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This dynamic role combines elements of cloud engineering, modern deployment practices, and critical technical support, focusing on ensuring seamless application delivery, proactive monitoring, and swift resolution of any operational challenges. You will be instrumental in safeguarding our applications uptime, enhancing their performance, and supporting the underlying infrastructure that powers our worldwide operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage CI/CD for internal applications using GitHub action, Cloud Build and other Continuous Integration tools
• Create build pipelines for integration between different applications
• Help manage existing SAAS application
• Admin for SAAS applications
• Design and architect integration between different applications
• Deploy and maintain applications to GCP
• Build and maintain backend APIs (FastAPI) and integrations in Python. Provide operational support for internal and external APIs, understanding their functionality and assisting in troubleshooting connectivity, performance issues or general application issues. You will also contribute to understanding and supporting basic API structures and interactions within our ecosystem.
• Work with business partners to understand functional and non-functional requirements and convert them into technical capabilities.
• Proactively monitor the health, performance, and capacity of our cloud-based applications and infrastructure to ensure maximum operational uptime. Identify potential bottlenecks and performance issues, implementing solutions to optimize system efficiency.
• Serve as a primary responder for production incidents, triaging, diagnosing, and resolving complex technical issues across various layers of the application stack. Possibly requiring on-call rotations to provide timely support and ensure quick recovery from outages.
  
  
  

• 2+ years of experience building software deployment pipelines
• Expertise with terraform
• Expertise with git and version control SW like GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Experience with deploying on Google Cloud
• Expertise with docker
• Experience with modern database technology (NoSQL and SQL)
• Experience with the OAuth2 protocol and single-sign on (SSO)
• Experience with Python scripting and API development
• Experience architecting cloud-native micro-services
• Experience with 3DX or SAP is a plus
