We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible as Lead Engineer for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Projects overseeing the technical execution and delivery of BESS solutions, with a particular emphasis on both primary and secondary-scope activities. This role requires a highly skilled engineering professional with proven experience in the design, integration, and commissioning of large-scale energy storage projects. The Lead Engineer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success from concept through completion.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Review the Sizing of Inverters, Battery, Transformer & its Auxiliary Systems inline with the Customer RFQ. Optimize energy storage systems technically by analyzing and considering battery degradation, augmentation requirement, containerization, power/energy reference point, auxiliary requirement, etc.
Preparation of Battery SoC Profiles for lifecycle estimation studies. Performing estimates of system availability, guarantees(performance/uptime). Prepare study reports, single-line diagrams, layouts, calculations and technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Review / Preparation of RFQ documents for all major equipment (PCS inverters, Batteries, Containers, Cabinets, Transformers, Switchgears) for floating to vendors/sub-suppliers.
Oversee all primary engineering activities including layout, electrical design (high voltage and medium voltage), mechanical & civil integration/ coordination. Understanding of grid code compliance assessment.
Preparation of operation philosophies explaining possible test cases for BESS projects based on the offered solution. Stay updated with industry standards, grid codes.
Coordination with stakeholders on secondary system engineering such as protection, control, SCADA integration, automation, communication systems, and metering. Ensuring technical delivery of BESS projects, compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Provide technical input for concept design, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning support. Communicating and coordinating with cross functional teams for effective knowledge transfer related to Energy Storage projects.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical queries and coordinate project activities. Plan and supervise commissioning activities, ensuring all systems are tested, validated, and documented according to requirements.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 8 years of experience as system design Engineer for BESS projects handling all primary and secondary design.
Strong understanding of electrical power systems, including Microgrids and BESS renewable integration.
Strong knowledge of electrical design standards, protection systems, SCADA interface, and grid codes.
Familiarity with international and Asia pacific country grid codes (e.g., IEC, IEEE, etc).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with Microgrid/ renewable Integration Projects.
Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) architecture and integration. Proficiency with energy management and simulation software (e.g., HOMER, ETAP) are a plus.
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng) are a plus. Familiarity with international and Asia pacific country grid codes (e.g., AEMO NER, KEPCO).
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
