BA With IBM Cognos

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst (BA) with strong experience in data analysis and reporting to join our Cognos reporting team. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, Cognos developers, and QA teams to gather requirements, analyze existing reports, and support the development of consolidated and optimized reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business users to gather, document, and validate reporting requirements.

Analyze existing Cognos reports and identify opportunities for consolidation and optimization.

Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for the development team.

Support the design and testing of new or enhanced reports and dashboards.

Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Assist in data validation, UAT coordination, and issue resolution.

Maintain documentation for reporting processes, data definitions, and report logic.

Required Skills And Experience

5 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in data/reporting environments.

Strong understanding of IBM Cognos reporting tools and data models.

Ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets and reporting logic.

Experience working on reporting enhancement or migration projects.

Proficiency in writing BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.

Familiarity with SQL and data querying for validation and analysis.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
