Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Test Engineer(Manual and Automation). You will be instrumental in upholding software quality across all stages of development, focusing on robust automated testing solutions. This role requires a proactive, adaptable team player who can successfully drive automation best practices and technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities and Main Accountabilities

• Automation Strategy & Execution: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive automated test scripts for various processes, including regression, end-to-end, smoke, sanity, and complex calculations/payroll testing.
• Testing Coverage: Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software systems.
• Quality & Defect Management: Continuously monitor automated test suites, analyze test results, and troubleshoot defects in real-time. Collaborate with development teams for swift resolution.
• Framework Management: Configure and maintain test environments and automation frameworks, and collaborate with technical leads to evaluate and implement new test automation tools.
• Process Improvement: Create high-quality documentation, including detailed test plans and low-level test cases. 
• Collaboration: Actively engage in Agile ceremonies and work closely with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

Required Experience & Technical Proficiency

• Experience Level: Minimum of 4+ years of total experience in Quality Assurance.
• Testing Skills: Mandatory experience in both automation and manual testing.
• Automation Tools: Expertise with Selenium WebDriver is mandatory, along with proficiency in other open-source automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, or Cypress).
• Testing Focus: Primary expertise is required in Windows and Web UI testing. Experience in API and mobile application testing is an added advantage.
• Best Practices: Solid understanding of test automation best practices, such as Page Object Models.

Domain Expertise & Soft Skills

• Domain Knowledge: Required experience with complex systems, particularly Payroll systems.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong sense of ownership, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Work Location & Timing

• Shift Timings: This role requires working during India timing.
