Job Summary

The Access Control Analyst supports enterprise access provisioning across billing, customer care, and operational platforms to help ensure employees and business partners have accurate, timely, and appropriate system access. The role supports access requests, provisioning workflows, approvals, exception management, operational controls, and compliance requirements while partnering across business and technology teams to deliver consistent and reliable access experience. As a lead professional-professional 4, this role operates with a high degree of independence in a complex, high-volume environment and exercises judgment in matters of significance. The role provides subject-matter expertise, leads projects and improvement initiatives, and identifies opportunities to strengthen controls, improve automation, reduce provisioning fallout, and enhance the access experience.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supports enterprise control-access provisioning for billing, customer care, commerce, PII, and other operational platforms.
  • Analyzes complex access requests, business requirements, approval standards, and system dependencies to determine the appropriate provisioning action.
  • Supports joiner, mover, and leaver processes by validating that system access aligns with an employee’s job status, job code, organizational assignment, and approved access configuration.
  • Reviews automated provisioning outcomes and investigates records that require manual processing or exception handling.
  • Analyzes job-code, location, division, and business information to support accurate provisioning within the appropriate system environment.
  • Validates access assignments against approved role-based, job-code-based, or standards.
  • Review access requests for completeness and confirm that required manager, business, security, or secondary approvals are in place before provisioning.
  • Investigate provisioning fallout, incomplete requests, access discrepancies, and other exceptions; determine contributing conditions and coordinates resolution with the appropriate partners.
  • Identifies recurring provisioning exceptions and recommends configuration, process, documentation, training, or automation improvements.
  • Applies established access-control requirements and approval standards when reviewing and fulfilling control-access requests.
  • Supports access-review, audit, control-testing, and compliance activities by providing complete, accurate, and timely documentation or evidence.
  • Helps ensure that sensitive and PII-related access is provisioned only after required approvals and validations have been completed.
  • Identifies potential control gaps, processing risks, and inconsistent access conditions and escalates concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Maintains accurate records of access requests, approvals, provisioning decisions, exceptions, and remediation activities.
  • Monitors request volumes, case activity, aging, service-level performance, and other operational measures across supported tools and work queues.
  • Analyzes missed service levels, processing trends, and recurring issues to identify contributing factors and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develops and maintains operational reporting that provides visibility into workload, performance, exceptions, and emerging risks.
  • Uses Excel and other reporting or analytical tools to reconcile data, identify trends, validate results, and support operational and leadership decisions.
  • Documents business rules, access requirements, provisioning logic, operational procedures, and exception-handling requirements.
  • Translates business and control requirements into actionable workflow requirements, provisioning configurations, and process improvements.
  • Evaluates the potential impact of access-policy, job-code, system, workflow, or configuration changes on related processes and supported users.
  • Supports testing and business validation for access-management enhancements, system changes, and automated provisioning improvements.
  • Creates clearly defined success measures for new or revised processes and establishes plans to monitor performance and results.
  • Serves as a liaison among business partners, system owners, security teams, technology teams, audit partners, and access-management teams.
  • Communicates access requirements, request status, exceptions, risks, and resolution plans clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Facilitates cross-functional alignment on access standards, operating procedures, escalation paths, service expectations, and process improvements.
  • Leads assigned projects or workstreams with limited guidance and provided directions to other team members as needed.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as business needs require.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting identity and access management, control-access provisioning, system administration, business operations, or a comparable operational function.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex requests, business rules, approval requirements, operational procedures, and system dependencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate exceptions, identify contributing factors, and recommend sustainable solutions.
  • Proficiency with Excel and experience using data to perform reconciliations, identify trends, measure performance, and support decisions.
  • Experience managing work against established service levels, operating procedures, approval standards, and internal controls.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy while working in a high-volume operational environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex requirements to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across business, security, technology, audit, and operational teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and independently resolve complex operational issues.
  • Experience documenting business requirements, process flows, decision logic, operating procedures, or control requirements.
  • Experience supporting CSG/ACSR or comparable billing and customer-management platforms.
  • Familiarity with Einstein360, XOE, Celestial, NOW, CRM, or related customer care and operational tools.
  • Experience working with enterprise access-request or provisioning platforms, including MyComcastAccess or Tech Spot.
  • Familiarity with automated provisioning, role-based access, job-code configurations, and joiner, mover, and leaver processes.
  • Experience investigating provisioning fallout, manual exceptions, or access discrepancies.
  • Experience supporting audit requests, access reviews, sensitive-data access, or PII-related controls.
  • Experience monitoring operational metrics, service-level performance, request volumes, case aging, or exception trends.
