About the role

Shaanks is a creative production partner for DTC brands in India and abroad. We ship 30–40 pieces of short-form video a month per brand — brand teasers, documentary-style edits, founder / personal-brand content, UGC-style ads, and motion graphics — at a speed and volume most agencies can't touch. You won't be cutting wedding films or long YouTube vlogs; you'll be telling brand stories in short form that has to stop the scroll, across a wide range of styles, with the full modern toolkit. We're creative-first, performance-aware, and AI is core to how we work day to day.

What You'll Do

• Edit short-form video across styles: brand teasers, documentary-style pieces, personal-brand / founder content, UGC-style ads, and motion graphics
• Cut performance ad creatives for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Reels
• Generate and composite AI video into finished, ready-to-post pieces
• Build motion-led moments (launches, announcements, hero edits)
• Land a hook in the first 1.5 seconds — every time, at volume and velocity

Core Requirements

• Strong fundamentals: cuts, pacing, rhythm, story flow
• Premiere Pro (must) + After Effects (strong plus)
• Comfort with Canva and Jitter for fast social motion
• Range across formats — from a polished brand teaser to a raw documentary cut to a punchy UGC ad
• Sharp creative eye — understands hooks and thumb-stopping creative, not just "good editing"
• Ability to prompt LLMs (Claude / ChatGPT) for scripts, concepts, and scene direction

AI & Future-Ready Skills

• Genuinely eager to explore new AI generation tools as they drop — tries things before being told to
• Hands-on with AI video tools (Higgsfield, Veo, Runway, Kling) or hungry to master them fast
• Understands AI-assisted creative workflows (ideation, scene direction, assets, variations)

Strict Requirements

• Portfolio mandatory (short-form / ad / brand work) — no portfolio = auto-rejected
• No college students / part-time / interns — full-time only
• Available for immediate joining (no 1–3 month notice)
• Must complete a practical task assignment — incomplete = automatic rejection

Hiring Process

1. Application + portfolio (Google Form, ~15 min)

2. Task-Based Evaluation — a real, hands-on brief with a clear deadline

3. Final Interview with the founder — process, tools, creative thinking
